To all our valued customers,
Our primary concern is the wellbeing of our loved ones, and that of our staff and customers, and we sincerely hope you are safe and well.
For several weeks we have been preparing our business to ensure we can continue to provide legal services during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Our business model is already built around smart working, with our technology designed to support over 200 lawyers who already work from home, reducing the need for social contact.
The information here outlines how we will continue to operate and what adjustments we are making to ensure the safety of our clients and staff.

Carol joined Setfords having worked for several years in a specialist family practice in Buckinghamshire.  She has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of family law, relating to both the married and unmarried family including divorce, separation agreements, pre-nuptial agreements and living together agreements.  She specialises in particular, in financial work arising from divorce and separation.  She not only deals with high net worth cases involving companies but also represents persons of modest means.  No matter what is involved, Carol ensures that each client is treated as an individual and that they are able to contact her when they need to. She has represented clients from all over the world including Australia, USA, Canada and UAE.

Carol is very experienced in children matters and has a particular interest in difficult children cases involving issues such as alcohol abuse and drugs with Cafcass and Social services intervention. She has experience of dealing with leave to remove from the jurisdiction cases, both permanent and temporary.

Carol’s husband, son and other members of her family having served in the Army for many years has given her an in depth knowledge of issues relating to members of the Armed Forces when relationships break down.

Carol has a practical and no nonsense approach to her client’s matters and is committed to ensuring that each client understands procedure and options to conclude matters quickly and with as little animosity as possible.   Having been divorced herself, she has empathy with the emotional side of divorce and the practical issues a breakdown of relationship brings.
