I am an expert in residential landlord and tenant law, leasehold/ leasehold reform, and enfranchisement. I advise homeowners, landlords, companies, trusts and high-net-worth individuals in all aspects of Landlord and Tenant law, including:
- Residential lease extensions both Statutory and privately agreed
- Deeds of variation
- Licences for alterations
- Collective freehold purchases/ disposals, including the Right of First Refusal
I was admitted as a solicitor in September 2011. Before qualifying as a solicitor, I bought a flat which turned out to have significant management issues. This motivated me to spend a great deal of time researching residential leasehold law. Ultimately, I was able to support the coordination and lead the legal process of acquiring the Right to Manage and in time, the freehold purchase of the block of flats. This process and the desire to support others, led me to specialising in leasehold, enfranchisement and property law.
In my spare time I undertake voluntary work, teaching English as a foreign language to refugees, in addition to assisting with the local Cub Scouts. I also enjoy watching football and cycling. I have successfully (but not quickly) completed the routes of famous cycle rides such as The Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix and the Ride London 100.
