Amanda is a highly experienced Family Law Consultant Solicitor within our Family Law Department.
Amanda qualified as a Solicitor in 2004, having successfully completed her paralegal work and training with immigration and asylum clients, winning several Tribunals throughout her time with Rees Wood Terry Solicitors from 2001 until 2005. Amanda was admitted to the role of solicitors in February 2005 and has specialised since solely within Private Family Law Matters.
Amanda has worked within a number of leading family law Solicitors practices in South Wales over the past 15 + years. Amanda’s main aim is to help client’s reach a solution in tough times. Amanda is passionate about helping her clients and is recognised by her clients, for assisting to make a positive difference to their futures. Amanda has experience of managing high case loads and departments and therefore managing the needs of each individual client. Amanda does not hesitate to go the extra mile for her clients and helps to exceed their expectations.
Amanda learnt early on that she finds Local Authority cases way to emotional due to her compassionate nature and as such focused upon helping clients from a private law point of view. Focusing on: -

Amanda has regularly advised in the most complex cases and is an experienced advocate before the Court, including having advocated within child arrangements matters and having dealt with cases involving paternity rights and child arrangement generally. Amanda has also regularly assisted with divorce matters, injunctions and financial matters arising from separation.
Amanda takes the view that all matters should be settled with the avoidance of protracted Court disputes and in a resolution focused manner. Amanda aims to constructively assist you to settle your matter and with a positive outcome that works for everyone involved.
Amanda is a strong believer in the need for listening, negotiation, mediation and agreeing positions, particularly upon the benefit of encouraging agreement and as such understands the benefits such a process can bring to clients both, financially and emotionally.
Amanda will help you to avoid disputed Court proceedings. However, having dealt with many highly emotive Court matters, she is also aware of the type of matters that, will benefit from the Court process.
Amanda has a keen interest in her family life and spends much of her time outside of work caring for her family unit. Amanda enjoys spending time with friends and family, having been brought up in a close-knit family unit in South Wales. Amanda also enjoys running and has taken part in 2 half Marathons and multiple 10 k races.
