Debjani Mukherjee MSc Consultant Property and Private Client Solicitor

I was admitted in 1992 and have about 28 years PQE. I started life in a high street practice with mainly a civil litigation, personal injury, employment, intellectual property and family caseload.

My work was varied and at the time perfect for learning about what the life of a solicitor is like and finding areas that I was particularly interested in. I became a consultant solicitor in 1999 and have worked in the same sole practice firm since then in the north-west London area. I continued to have a varying caseload and started working on property matters, Wills and probate, parental responsibility applications in surrogacy cases, landlord and tenant.

Over the years the work has changed and came in phases so it was not a situation where I was doing all the above at the same time. I now wish to concentrate on the property and private client matters so I hope to be doing residential and commercial property, landlord and tenant and wills and probate.

In my other life, I am a Zumba Instructor, Strong Nation Instructor and Personal Trainer and currently taking a Nutrition coaching course. I work at Aspire which provides a centre for rehabilitation for people with spinal injuries and I also run private classes (on Zoom at present) so looking forward to Setfords personnel joining them!

I run marathons and love travelling (when allowed to). I also am an Egyptologist having taken my Diploma at London University on this subject.
