Ifath specialises in:

Planning, environmental and public law issues in development and regeneration projects. She has worked in both the public and private sectors and advises extensively on planning, affordable housing, CIL, financial contributions, planning policy, Compulsory Purchase, governance and constitutional issues. She has extensive experience in major town centre redevelopment and regeneration projects, mixed developments of retail, residential and commercial/leisure from early planning stages through to delivery and related appeals. Ifath also has extensive experience in enforcement, Certificates of Established Use and Lawful Development, planning appeals and S288/289 appeals having represented her clients at inquiries and appeals. Having worked in local government, Ifath has extensive experience of advising at committees, on Code of Conduct matters and public law matters. Ifath was Project Lead on the High Speed 2 Phase 1 for local authority clients in dealing with the preliminary work, pre-application work and processing of planning and highways applications and advice.

• Advising developer client on airspace development comprising construction of additional storey to accommodate further accommodation units in West London, and on related S106 agreement. 

Barking

• London Road, Barking - advising client on S106 agreement for redevelopment of site for 192 Build-to-Rent homes, affordable housing, commercial and community space, and £1.5m in contributions.  
• DB Schenker Barking Freight Terminal, advising client on land ownership/title and S106 agreement dealing with continuation of the use of the site as concrete batching with associated storage bays, office and welfare facilities. 

Southwark

• 220 Blackfriars Road, Southwark, London – advised on all planning law matters on the site for 220,000 sq ft redevelopment by JTRE London Ltd of commercial and residential development. 
• Park Street, Southwark, London – advised on all planning law matters for major development comprising redevelopment of site to provide mixed use development providing three new buildings, basement, lower ground and ground floor plus part 9,14 and 18 storeys with residential, retail and cultural facilities and off site social housing – advising client on S106 agreements, S73 application, highways agreements and overseeing the compliance of conditions and discharge of obligations. 
• Advising client, Metropolitan Tabernacle, on Compulsory Purchase Order, impact on clients and remedies sought.
