Christopher Sher Singh Consultant Barrister
Called to the Bar in 1993, Christopher began his career under the guidance of some of the most prominent Criminal Barristers at Furnival Chambers. With a wealth of experience on both sides of the legal profession, Christopher holds direct access rights and is authorised to conduct litigation.
Christopher previously worked with a renowned Harley Street criminal firm, gaining significant experience in high-profile criminal cases. This included involvement in numerous cases that attracted media attention, notably a murder trial at Winchester Crown Court following a 1992 shooting in Hartley Wintney, and the multi-handed Heathrow Robberies between 2002 and 2004. This strong foundation in criminal law has shaped Christopher into a highly analytical and strategic practitioner, adept at navigating the most complex cases to secure the best outcomes for clients.
In addition to criminal law, Christopher specialises in all aspects of family law. His extensive experience spans divorce matters, including matrimonial finances and private children’s arrangements. Alongside this, he has conducted work in domestic violence, occupation orders, child name change deeds, parental responsibility, child arrangements orders (including international arrangements), and cohabitee rights, and he has several years of experience in dealing with Local Authorities (CAFCASS). He also has invaluable experience in dealing with a number of complex and high-value divorce cases involving trusts, corporate interests, and high-value assets, as well as complex children’s cases. In Public Law proceedings, he regularly acts on behalf of parents, grandparents, and guardians.
With a client-focused and cost-effective approach, Christopher is committed to resolving matters efficiently while always prioritising the best interests of the client and the wider family. Thanks to his dual capacity as both Solicitor and Barrister, clients benefit from a streamlined service, dealing with just one legal professional from the outset of litigation through to representation at hearings.
