I am an experienced Private Client Solicitor and have been qualified for over 5 years. I graduated from Nottingham Law School with a First Class Honours Degree in Law and was awarded the Best Student Award. I went on to gain a Masters in Legal Practice with Distinction.
I specialise in working with elderly and vulnerable clients providing a comprehensive service to the client and their families, visiting clients at home or in residential care homes. I test capacity for making Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as guiding families through the process of Deputyship where a family member has lost capacity without making Lasting Powers of Attorney to deal with their affairs. I have a good bedside manner and treat my clients and their families how I would wish my own family to be treated in often upsetting and bewildering circumstances.
My areas of practice are Wills, Probate, Contentious Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, Safeguarding and Property Work including severance of joint tenancy and assents. I offer my clients home visits and evening appointments.
I am also a Lecturer at the University of Law in Nottingham teaching undergraduates on their law degree.
In my spare time, I enjoy running and walking in Derbyshire. I love spending time with my family and friends socialising.
