Danelle is an experienced and tenacious litigator who advises and represents individuals, professionals, and business owners in divorce and financial remedy proceedings. Her clients are based throughout England and Wales, as well as in overseas territories. She approaches each case strategically, cutting through complex issues to maintain momentum and remain focused on her clients’ objectives. She provides practical, honest advice and has developed a strong network of trusted experts, including leading Counsel, pensions experts, valuers, and accountants. In addition, she can signpost clients to relevant holistic professionals and support services where appropriate.

She has a proven track record of successfully negotiating the division of capital assets and wealth on divorce, securing or resisting claims for spousal maintenance, and advising on pension sharing. Danelle has also successfully enforced financial remedy orders, obtained judgment summons orders, and challenged single joint expert evidence within financial remedy proceedings.

Danelle is highly knowledgeable in matters relating to generational wealth and asset protection prior to marriage, advising on both pre- and post-nuptial agreements. She also advises unmarried couples on property disputes under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA).

On child arrangements, Danelle routinely advises clients following separation and divorce. She recognises that this is often the most urgent and emotionally significant issue for clients and seeks to provide practical, solution-focused advice to help reach an agreement wherever possible without the need for court intervention. Where Children Act proceedings are unavoidable, she adopts a robust and focused approach, supporting her clients at every stage of the court process. She has experience dealing with serious welfare concerns, preparing for fact-finding hearings and contested final hearings, and working with senior Counsel, independent social workers, expert witnesses, and supported contact organisations.

Danelle has successfully secured Child Arrangements Orders, including permission to relocate, Prohibited Steps Orders, and Specific Issue Orders. She has also obtained orders barring further applications and orders for wasted costs within Children Act proceedings, and has assisted in successfully resisting the summary return of children to a foreign jurisdiction. Her Children Act cases have been dealt with at all levels of the Family Court system, including the High Court, Family Division at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Career highlights

A Postgraduate of Liverpool John Moores University, Danelle entered the legal profession in 2010 and trained with a renowned multi-service Liverpool firm. Her early career saw her gain invaluable litigation experience in Criminal Law, where she routinely represented clients in Police interviews and prepared cases from the point of charge through to Magistrates' and Crown Court trials and appeals.

Danelle qualified as a solicitor in 2014, joined DWF LLP in 2017, and was a founding team member of JMW LLP in Liverpool. From 2018, she played an integral role in developing the firm's Liverpool offering, helping the team deliver Legal 500 Tier 1 Family Law services and working closely alongside the Head of Department.

She is a Trustee of the NSPCC Merseyside Corporate Board and a member of the Professional Liverpool High Net Worth Panel.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling with her husband and daughter, long beach walks with the family Cavapoo, reading and gardening.
