Carlton has more than 22 years of experience as a litigator and was a partner in a Thames Valley law firm before joining Setfords in 2018.
Carlton has experience in just about every area of litigation and during his career he has acted in eleven cases significant enough to be recorded in the law reports.
Two of his most recent cases were the case of Leibel v Baird CHI/29UC/HMF/2020/0035 (2021) before the First-Tier Tribunal (Property) and his case of Wright v Rogers[2022] EWCA Civ 1658 was widely reported in the press as a nuisance neighbour was given a suspended prison sentence for contempt of court.
Carlton acts in all forms of contract disputes but has particular expertise in property litigation and in conducting proceedings through the High Court, County Court and the First-Tier Property Tribunal for:-
