I qualified as a Barrister and was called to the Bar in 2002 (non-practising) and later cross qualified as a Solicitor in 2008. I gained a Masters Degree LLM in Advanced Legal Practice in 2007. Prior to practising Family Law I practised in personal injury.
I now specialise in:
- Children Law - Contact and Residence
- Specific Issue Orders
- Domestic Violence Injunctions
- Divorce/Civil Partnerships
- Ancillary Relief
- Cohabitation disputes
I have extensive experience in Public Law proceedings representing parents, grandparents and children in complex cases involving non-accidental injury, sexual abuse and factitious and induced illness. I am on the Law Society Family Panel and Children Panel and a member of Resolution. I have experience in Equine Law dealing with equine disputes involving personal injury and Livery agreements.
I act for clients who have suffered historical sex abuse whilst in the care of the Local Authority. I recently successfully obtained an admission of liability from the Local Authority and I am in the process of securing personal injury compensation for the clients. I also act for a client under the Human Rights Act, for breach of Article 8, against a Local Authority.
I love spending quality time with my family which includes my husband, two children, horses and dogs.
