Tony Taylor Consultant Solicitor - Litigation

Tony qualified as a solicitor 1998 and thereafter practiced in personal injury, clinical negligence and civil litigation. He has over 20 years’ experience of working for Legal 500 recommended firms in London and Cambridge and, prior to joining Setfords, set up a professional negligence department for a firm in London.

Tony  is very experienced in general civil litigation claims including defending and pursuing landlord and tenant disrepair claims  and possession proceeding, recovering over £80,000 in a defective highway drainage for a property owner  that  was subjected to flooding, He has represented clients in bringing and defending misrepresentation claims relating to property transactions. 

Tony is able to quickly and efficiently act in the recovery of debts on behalf of business clients.

Tony is  also an accomplished Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence solicitor.  He has practiced in personal injury litigation for over two decades and has been involved in many claims worth in excess of one million pounds.

His experience in Personal Injury claims  allows him to quickly and effectively evaluate clients’ claims against previous solicitors where mistakes have been made in the preparation or pursuit of personal injury and clinical negligence cases.

He has experience in claims against solicitors for negligence in property/conveyancing transactions, immigration and wills and a broad range of professionals including insurance brokers, construction professionals, surveyors and valuers.

In his spare time he enjoys cycling his 2 children around town, travelling and technology.
