Mary Minton Consultant Family Law Solicitor

Mary has been practising as a solicitor for over 30 years. She specialises in all areas of family and private client work.

Mary deals with:

• Financial issues arising from the breakdown of a marriage
• Disputes involving children, including acting for grandparents
• Dissolution of marriage and civil partnerships
• Separation agreements
• Special Guardianship Orders
• Representation during Court proceedings
• Preparation of wills
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Probate.

Most of Mary's work comes from recommendations made by former clients. In addition to providing legal advice, Mary has always been aware of the level of support needed by clients when they instruct a family law solicitor. She always takes a pragmatic view of the circumstances that clients face and provides advice to achieve the best outcome while being realistic about the costs involved.

Mary works with clients across England and Wales and frequently deals with high-net-worth clients with substantial assets and business interests.

She also advises clients who are no longer able to obtain legal aid, having spent many years doing publicly funded family work. During that period, Mary was a family law supervisor and also a member of The Law Society Family Law Panel. She always takes a sensible and realistic approach with a view to achieving the best possible outcome for a client.

She is happy to have an initial preliminary discussion by Teams or telephone with prospective new clients before receiving formal instructions.

Outside of work, Mary enjoys spending my time with family, especially her granddaughter, friends, and dogs. She has a passion for Pembrokeshire and spends as much free time there as possible walking, eating ice cream, taking an excessive number of photographs of sunsets and generally enjoying the scenery and sea air.

She is also undertaking a counselling course with a view to eventually being able to practice as a counsellor as well as a solicitor.
