StJohn enjoys working as a commercial and residential property solicitor. With over 25 years experience in the arena of land and property law, StJohn has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in both commercial and residential property law and practice. If asked, clients would describe him as “a safe pair of hands” when it comes to the careful guidance and advice he gives to them at all stages of the commercial and residential conveyancing process.
Trust is important when dealing with legal matters, so StJohn takes pride in providing a good service in his work and demonstrates his dedication to his clients by always showing a willingness to “go the extra mile”. His energy, drive and enthusiasm for the tasks at hand can be seen by all.
StJohn has a track record of delivery and likes to finish. He is comfortable working with a wide spectrum of individuals and companies.

Prior to joining Setfords in 2024, StJohn worked for 8 years at Wosskow Brown Solicitors (now part of Pennine Law Limited) as Head of the Commercial Property Department and hitherto Branch Manager at the Woodseats Office.
Before that, StJohn worked for 16 years as Associate Solicitor at Newman and Bond (now merged with Ridley and Hall). His experience is therefore invaluable in the pursuit of his passion – to provide the best legal service to his clients and to help them to maximise their goals.
When not working StJohn enjoys classical music, singing Tenor in Sheffield Bach Choir, is an active member of Carterknowle Methodist Church, a keen walker and nature lover. He is happily married with two amazing children.
