Angela qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and has specialised in family law since that time
Prior to joining Setfords Angela has had varied experience in working in private practice, including working in a busy legal aid practice undertaking much domestic violence work after qualifying. Thereafter she moved to a smaller local firm in Hornchurch and was made a Partner and remained there for a further 8 years. She was responsible for the Family Department and continued to represent clients, including representing them in the local county courts. She enjoys advocacy which means continuity for clients both in and out of court.
Her non-confrontational approach and desire to reach an amicable solution in her clients best interests and the best interests of the family unit dictate her approach in offering honest and frank advice. As family breakdown is a very difficult and emotional time for families, she offers a free half an hour consultation via phone or Teams so that the client is able to see if they are able to work with her.
Angela has enjoyed mentoring and training junior solicitors and trainees and finds this very satisfying.
