I am a freelance legal consultant with 20 years of top level legal experience. I previously worked at leading international firms such as Slaughter and May (UK), Mayer Brown (US), as well as the EU Commission. I represent clients in business, property, family and employment law matters. I also represent clients in mediation and at court, including at Tribunals, County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. Clients benefit from this top level experience and receive the highest quality of work. They also appreciate my dual qualification (as a solicitor and as an advocate), with my down to earth way of building a client relationship for the best long-term and most cost-effective solution.
I first qualified as a barrister in 2004, and was selected by leading QCs for assignment to the EU Commission dealing with corporate mergers and cartel-busting. I went on to qualify and work as a solicitor at one of the world's leading international magic circle law firms, Slaughter and May, representing FTSE100 companies, investment banks and government, on multi-jurisdictional regulators, contractual matters and litigation. I have also worked at the US firm Mayer Brown and Save the Children International.
I love travelling with my family, playing badminton, running and cooking. I am currently learning Arabic and trying to pronounce the words correctly - without causing a chuckle (...or two!). I am currently a trustee for the Cowrie Scholarship Foundation, aiming to provide 100 disadvantaged black British students with full scholarships and mentoring at the top 40 UK universities.
