Isabelle qualified as a Solicitor in 1999, having studied at Kings College London and the Sorbonne ,Paris.
She had a successful career in London for many years as a Human rights practitioner, acting for claimants in civil claims against the police and public authorities. She was a specialist inquest lawyer and the legal researcher and assistant to Leslie Thomas QC, on many high-profile Inquests, Judicial Reviews and police shootings/deaths in custody, including the deaths of Azelle Rodney, Sean Rigg and Mark Duggan and the Hillsborough inquest.
Isabelle moved to Hertfordshire in 2011, to raise a family and start a business and later joined a local firm to practise employment and commercial law.
She is highly experienced in all aspects of employment law, including performance issues, gross misconduct, redundancy, unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, and discrimination. Isabelle also advises on Settlement Agreements, which includes dealing with all aspect of negotiations for parties in dispute, whether employees or employers. Her strong negotiation and drafting skills along with excellent research and organisational abilities have allowed her to achieve success for her clients without recourse to employment tribunals in many cases.
Isabelle is also a qualified interpersonal mediator and able to mediate on a variety of disputes including workplace and healthcare mediation. Her excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues to clients in a clear, concise manner.
