Kiran Dhaliwal
Consultant Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx)

Kiran is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx). She has 25 years of experience in family law covering, divorce, financial issues arising out of a marriage and unmarried couples and resolution of children matters.

A specialist family lawyer in children disputes both straightforward and complex cases where there are issues of domestic abuse, substance/alcohol misuse, parental alienation, neglect, sexual abuse. Although Kiran is based in Birmingham, she helps and represents clients nationwide. Due to the nature of remote working Kiran is able to assist client’s from all geographical locations as consultations and hearings are taking place remotely. Even where in-person representation is required at court Kiran is able to organise this through her wide network of professionals.

Kiran chose to work in this area of law as she wanted to help client’s re-build their lives. She says that often clients will see you at the start of their case when they are almost like a broken jigsaw, but with the clear advice and the guidance of their lawyer, they start to slowly put the pieces back together.

She believes that one must only appoint a lawyer with whom they feel comfortable. You must be at ease and be able to ask any question without having hesitation. Going through a relationship breakdown is an awful time. One’s whole world can turn upside down, and it is a heart-breaking process. It can be much harder when there are children involved.

Clients contact Kiran at a difficult point in their life, where they need clear transparent advice from an understanding lawyer. Kiran is committed to making the process as easy as possible for the client, knowing that they are going through a stressful and emotional time.

Kiran can provide a bespoke service that is tailored to a client’s needs and she can work around their other commitments. She offers a very personal legal service and provides flexibility with her appointments, rather than the traditional 9-5 office hours.

Kiran specialises in the following areas:
