Kiran is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx). She has 25 years of experience in family law covering, divorce, financial issues arising out of a marriage and unmarried couples and resolution of children matters.
A specialist family lawyer in children disputes both straightforward and complex cases where there are issues of domestic abuse, substance/alcohol misuse, parental alienation, neglect, sexual abuse. Although Kiran is based in Birmingham, she helps and represents clients nationwide. Due to the nature of remote working Kiran is able to assist client’s from all geographical locations as consultations and hearings are taking place remotely. Even where in-person representation is required at court Kiran is able to organise this through her wide network of professionals.
Kiran chose to work in this area of law as she wanted to help client’s re-build their lives. She says that often clients will see you at the start of their case when they are almost like a broken jigsaw, but with the clear advice and the guidance of their lawyer, they start to slowly put the pieces back together.

Kiran has featured on a National Television Programme talking about relationship breakdown, children matters and domestic abuse and the effect of this on a family. She spoke about the civil remedies available and has also featured in a DVD that Victim Support prepared about what resources are available to persons who are at risk of domestic abuse.

She is a fluent speaker of Punjabi. She understands Hindi and Urdu, and this puts those clients at ease who want to be able to communicate in their mother tongue language without the need for an interpreter.
