Claire is known for her work ethic, drive, blunt no-nonsense approach and prides herself on being honest and forthright, giving jargon free advice that is easy to understand and not dressed up in complicated legal language. Claire is a former criminal solicitor (10 years); experienced court advocate and has trained as a mediator and collaborative lawyer.
Claire obtained her law degree from Birmingham University. She qualified in 1992 and practised in Warwickshire and the West Midlands before moving to Dorset in 1998.
Claire has always undertaken family work (including divorce and separation in any type of intimate relationship; financial issues and related court applications; pre and post nuptial agreements; cohabitation and separation agreements; cohabitees and Trust of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act (TOLATA) cases (basically fall outs between co-owners of land).
For many years Claire has specialised in cases involving high net worth individuals, professionals and busines people (acting for either side). Most of her work is referred to her by former clients, professionals and others in the local business network. Claire will take instructions from clients in any area of England and Wales. The clients local to her are in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Claire undertakes appointments in person, by telephone or TEAMS.
Claire is pleased to announce that she has left behind partnership and head of department duties after two decades and is now devoting her time solely to legal work and clients' cases. She remains as driven and committed as ever and will continue to work and advise clients out of hours where necessary.
