Sam is an experienced solicitor who qualified in 2010. She specialises in family law and litigation. Having worked with several well-established high street firms in Hampshire, Sam has built a strong local reputation.

Sam is known for her clear, practical advice and her honest approach. From the outset, she explains clients’ options and likely prospects, communicating in plain English to ensure they fully understand each stage of their case.

A particular strength of Sam’s practice is her advocacy. She conducts almost all of her own court advocacy in local courts, which offers clients continuity, confidence, and the reassurance of being represented by someone they already know and trust. This is an aspect of her role that she greatly enjoys and takes pride in.

Career highlights

Sam has acted in a number of complex and sensitive cases, including successfully defending a husband in financial remedy proceedings following an attempted murder by his wife, securing the dismissal of all claims against him. She has represented parents in highly contentious children matters, including cases involving false allegations of domestic abuse, the urgent return of a child wrongfully taken by a parent, and allegations of parental alienation.

In her civil litigation work, she has obtained judgment against a major car dealership for a faulty vehicle and successfully defended claims against builders, securing costs for her clients.

Outside of work, Sam is a dedicated endurance rider and spends much of her spare time with her horse, Prince. Together they compete in endurance riding competitions and have recently achieved runner-up status for a national award.
