Simon is a real estate finance lawyer with over twenty-five years' experience in advising lenders and borrowers on traditional secured lending, structured finance, and real estate finance matters.
Most recently he has built a Buy to Let conveyancing practice acting for Buy to Let investors and their associated lenders. He also acts for a number of bridge lenders and high street lenders in the commercial lending market and has an extensive network of contacts within the commercial real estate and development lending market.
Simon's varied career has included spending periods in-house at:
- Deutsche Bank where he ran a transaction management group acting for clients such as British Land and ICG.
- Head of group legal at Kensington Mortgages responsible for all legal aspects of funding the group through its Securitisation Programme and Warehouse funding panel
- Director at Sanne Group in Jersey where he set up a corporate administration team operating in Jersey, Luxembourg and Dublin
Simon can assist bridge lenders, corporate lenders and more traditional regulated lenders in all aspects of the lending process and given his varied experience can also assist with related corporate matter including JV / shareholders agreements, partnership agreements and other corporate matters where legal knowledge combined with a commercial view are required.
