I have over 25 years’ experience as an employment lawyer and for six years was Managing Partner and head of employment law at rhw Solicitors in Guildford. I act for both employers and employees and am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

In the reported case of Ministry of Defence HQ Defence Dental Service v Kettle EAT/0308/06 I helped establish the principle that in establishing employment status the tribunal is entitled to look beyond any written contract to see how a relationship operated in practice.
