Sapna qualified as a Solicitor in 2008 working in the Civil litigation department gaining experience in a variety of areas such as housing law and litigation, welfare benefits, debt, family and criminal law. She joined a Legal 500 City firm in 2009 and was the Head of Civil Litigation and Social welfare in the firm training a number of Solicitors and Trainee Solicitors.
Sapna has successfully represented numerous clients on a number of First-tier tribunal and Upper Tribunal cases for all social security law/ welfare benefits matters including:-
- Preparing submissions and representing at appeals such as Personal Independence Payments and Employment Support Appeals as well as obtaining specific medical evidence
- Dealing with overpayments,
- Appeals including complex housing benefit and tax credit issues
Sapna also specialises in Criminal defence Law and has acted on a broad range of Criminal law matters. She is Police Station accredited and specialises in representing clients on cases concerning allegations of benefit fraud at interviews under cautions at DWP and local authority offices. She can also advise on compliance interviews on a private basis.
Sapna has also represented clients in Civil Litigation matters, particularly in:-
- Housing law including landlord and tenant litigation
- Contractual matters
- Debt recovery and enforcement
Sapna is an experienced and dedicated Solicitor with over 16 years of experience in law and is resolute in ensuring she gets the best results for her clients. Additionally, Sapna also works as a Supervising Solicitor and Lecturer in a University law clinic supporting students in obtaining practical legal experience.
