John is a formidable and highly regarded commercial litigator with more than 25 years’ experience in law.

John is qualified as both a Solicitor and a Solicitor-Advocate of the Senior Courts of England & Wales, as well as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.  He is one of the UK’s foremost specialists in mediation, and has been a CEDR-qualified mediator since 2003.

John’s clients range from FTSE-100 companies, multinational corporates and banks to high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs.  Clients appreciate John’s direct, but empathetic, approach, as well as his intelligent advice and creative, practical solutions.  His aim is to guide clients through difficult and stressful situations to achieve the best outcome, always with an eye on his client’s commercial objectives.  This involves developing an intelligent strategy with each client, sometimes using diplomacy and negotiation, and other times employing litigation techniques, often requiring ruthless tenacity.
