Airbus has announced that it will take on around 300 new staff at their UK plants of Flintshire and Bristol. This follows the global expansion of the business and the 10,000 new members of staff who were taken on between 2011 and 2012. It is not clear yet exactly how many new employees there will be at each of the UK locations, but the increasing demand over the last two years suggest that orders will continue to come in. The Broughton, Flintshire plant makes the wings of the A320 aircraft and the Bristol plant is responsible for the A400M plane. This military jet has already been in such demand that Airbus had to take on 50 temporary members of staff back in March in order to cope. The overall European employment expansion will see the creation of up to 3,000 new jobs.
