Apple loses intellectual property battle

This latest intellectual property feud has seen Apple lose out to Samsung in a row over 3G wireless technology. The International Trade Commission ruled in Samsung’s favour, and now there could be restrictions on the sale of some iPhones and iPads in the USA. This was the overturning of the original case where Judge James Gildea said that Apple has not violated any of Samsung’s patents. With this ruling the ITC has put a stop to the import and sales on AT&T sales of iPhone 4, iPhone 3, iPhone 3GS as well as the iPad 3G and iPad 2 3G. This could be overruled by the US President, although looking back over other instances it would be rare for the President to do this. This is just one of the many legal battles currently in the pipeline between the two brands about the uses of the Android system.
