Katy Moody Consultant Solicitor

Katy has worked in family law for over 10 years and qualified as a solicitor in 2016. She has gained experience working within both national family law teams and local firms. Prior to joining Setfords, Katy was Head of Department at a regional firm.

Approach to work and clients

Katy is a member of Resolution and is committed to taking a constructive, pragmatic and non-confrontational approach to resolving family law issues wherever possible.

She places great importance on building strong relationships with her clients and delivering the highest level of client care. This includes being open and transparent about costs and providing clear, practical advice in a cost-effective way.

Katy understands that clients’ lives do not always fit around traditional working hours and therefore offers evening appointments where required. She also provides a free initial 30-minute consultation to all new clients. Recognising that family breakdown and legal proceedings can feel overwhelming, Katy believes empowering clients with knowledge enables them to make informed decisions from the outset. Her primary focus is always on achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.

Katy particularly enjoys working closely with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, each with their own unique circumstances. She takes pride in building strong rapport and supporting clients through what can be a challenging legal journey, helping them move forward with confidence into the next chapter of their lives.

Outside of work, Katy enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and socialising with friends.
