Susie qualified as a Solicitor in 1990 and specialises in Inheritance Claims, Contested Wills, Trusts, Estates, Wills and Probate. Clients describe Susie as having an ‘empathetic and robust approach’. Susie acts for both high value and smaller estates.
Susie’s sensitive approach reflects the fact that such claims arise at a time when clients are dealing with a bereavement and often with a complex family situation. Susie is adept at dealing with such family complexities in a compassionate yet proactive way, seeking to achieve the best outcome for the client.
With over 16 years experience in Civil Litigation, Susie was Head of Litigation at a well known Surrey firm and a Team Leader at a Legal 500 UK National Firm. The combination of Susie’s extensive litigation experience with her knowledge and experience of Wills, Trusts and Probate, results in a rare skill set.
Having worked on farms for 5 years, Susie also has a particular interest and experience in dealing with agricultural estates.
Susie lives in Hampshire with her family.

What our clients say
“In response to our email to Setfords, we were contacted by Susie Brooks. She was extremely helpful to my husband and myself, clear and patient in her explanations and advice. We would have been happy to have engaged her to complete our wills, but for the geographical distance between us. We live in Suffolk and my husband needs preferably, face to face contact. He has a cochlea implant and lipreads due to profound hearing loss. She contacted another colleague on our behalf, who she felt might be able to help us further. We found the whole experience really positive and would like to formally acknowledge this. ”
