Mel qualified in 1999 as a Legal Executive, working as a family lawyer. She continued with her studies whilst working full-time, ultimately qualifying as a solicitor in 2006.
In 2001, Mel switched principles to residential conveyancing and has worked in this field of law ever since; gaining experience and expertise in real estate and estate development along the way.
