As an experienced Senior Employment and Education Solicitor and Qualified Mediator.
I feel privileged to do a job which brings together four issues I feel passionately about employment and education law, the public sector and schools.
Prior to working at Setfords I worked for more 15 years as an Employment and Education solicitor for several London local authorities and private education providers. I have also served as a governor of a large all-through academy and of a small primary school which has provided me extensive experience of, and insight into, the unique issues facing local authorities, schools and academies.
Having worked with schools, academies and local authorities of all sizes and types I am able to deliver high-quality prompt and affordable employment law advice and tribunal case management tailored to the needs of individual clients as well as longer-term flexible legal and/or HR support packages where needed.
With the ever-increasing challenge faced by all public bodies to ensure that they are legally compliant my focus is on prevention rather than cure or, where prevention is not possible, resolving problems at the earliest stage so that clients can avoid or minimise expensive litigation and continue to focus on their key priority of providing excellent public services.
