I elected to study Law for the importance it takes in the world. I was aware that the Law builds civilization, protects fundamental rights, and protects ideas and inventions through patenting and other rights through the legal system. I was excited about the fact that Law is continuously relevant in many contexts including banking, construction, sports, land, media, commercial, and human rights. I was concerned about a law degree that helps provide legal support for people who can't afford it.
I had an early passion for rights and justice. My early high school contributions have witnessed remarkable activities in school media expressive of passion for justice culminated with my decision to study laws at the University of Khartoum a British-style educational institution established after Sir Gordon as a memorial College in Khartoum, Sudan. Iman devoted full-time study to Common Law and graduated with an LL.B degree (honours).
I come from Wad Madani, Sudan in 1971, and lived part of my life in the Gulf area with my family. At 16, I went to Madani Girls High School –- a school whose most notable female scholars of Sudan Judiciary and Civil Service graduated.
