I am an experienced solicitor with strong technical knowledge specialising in employment law and professional misconduct/ fitness to practise. I have excellent interpersonal skills and interact constructively with senior and junior personnel.
I have advised and represented employers and employees in relation to a wide range of non-contentious and contentious employment matters including, unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, breach of contract and equal pay. I have represented clients at employment tribunal preliminary and full merits hearings.
In relation to non-contentious matters, I have experience of negotiating severance agreements and settlement agreements for senior personnel and providing advice to HR personnel on issues arising from the implementation of business reorganisation, redundancy and reviewing contracts of employment and policies.
I also provide advice and representation in relation to professional misconduct proceedings before the Nursing and Midwifery Council and Health Care Professions Council. I have also been appointed to a panel of legally qualified Chair to determine police misconduct proceedings. In addition to my employment and misconduct practise, I also have experience of conducting civil litigation including, property disputes, breach of contract and debt recovery
