Following a career in construction and as a chartered health and safety practitioner, David qualified as a regulatory solicitor in 2005.
A dual-qualified Information Law solicitor and Information Security Practitioner, David has extensive experience gained in-house at an NHS Foundation Trust and in private practice, advising on data protection, freedom of information, environmental information and common law confidentiality, as well as on the Privacy of Electronic Communications Regulations and other data protection law. David represents companies, public bodies and not for profit organisations in being investigated following a cyber-attack or data breach and in relation to data subject rights and information sharing.
Commended by clients for his clear advice and practical, down to earth approach, David undertakes DPO and due diligence work and he assists organisations to meet Information Assurance and cyber-security compliance obligations, as well as providing company and trustee board and senior management data protection training.
David is currently studying for a second Masters degree and undertaking research for a PhD.
