Setfords shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year

Setfords Solicitors has been shortlisted for ‘Law Firm of the Year’ in the prestigious Modern Law Awards in recognition of the firm’s unprecedented growth, investment and award-winning innovations over the last 12 months.

Having attracted £3.75 million in investment to aid faster growth in late 2016, the firm has doubled the size of its Chancery Lane office. Setfords London focuses primarily on London and international clients and offers high-quality facilities for the firm’s growing number of City-based consultants.

A record-breaking year for recruitment, Setfords has seen a 38% rise in lawyers seeking to join the firm, whose ethos, structure and support systems allow lawyers to deliver better service to their clients whilst enjoying greater rewards and flexibility.

This includes John Davis, the first solicitor in legal history to be presented with a “red bag” from Queen’s Counsel because of his exceptional legal work. Dean Armstrong QC, expert in cyber law has also joined Setfords London, where he offers data-protection and security advice to international organisations. 

Setfords’ focus on delivering a better way of working is underpinned by award-winning initiatives designed to support consultants grow their business, while also enjoying a more positive work-life balance.

In September 2016 it won Innovation in Client Acquisition in The Lawyer Business Leadership Summit and Awards, for a programme that saw enquiries rise by 20%, and conversions by 40%. Setfords is also currently shortlisted for “Best Use of Technology” at Legal Week’s British Legal Awards.

Last month Setfords was named best in its field for marketing and communications in the Law Society Excellence Awards 2017 for the work its PR and Communications team undertakes to raise the profile of its consultants.
