Setfords Solicitors shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year and Conveyancing Team of the year

Consultant-led law firm Setfords Solicitors has been shortlisted for two major awards.

The firm, which has over 180 consultant lawyers working nationwide, is amongst the finalists for Law Firm of the Year and Conveyancing Team of the Year in the Solicitors Journal Awards 2017.

It follows a highly successful 12 months for Setfords which saw turnover rise by over 20 percent to more than £8 million, new offices opening in Chancery Lane in London, and the firm receiving £3.75 million in investment from the Business Growth Fund.

Setfords also recruited 65 consultant lawyers – a 38 percent increase on the previous year.

CEO Chris Setford said: “It has been the best 12 months yet for Setfords and we are absolutely delighted this has been recognised by the Solicitors Journal. Being shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year is a real honour.

“We are so proud of everything that has been achieved by our staff and our consultant lawyers and are looking forward to further success this year.”

CEO Guy Setford added: “Our property team are amongst the best in the business and we are very pleased their hard work has secured this nomination for Conveyancing Team of the Year.”

Setfords’ consultant lawyers work remotely and receive the best support in the industry from a 60-strong team that includes secretarial, PR, marketing and web support departments, as well as a business development team that has generated millions of pounds in work.

At Setfords consultants are able to earn more as they operate on a fee-share basis, keeping up to 80% of what they bill. Setfords doesn’t have billing targets, meaning that consultant lawyers can provide a brilliant service to the right number of clients and enjoy a much greater work-life balance.
