A property litigator who has spent much of his career working for top international law firms has joined Setfords Solicitors as a consultant.
Alan Herbert is a former partner and head of property litigation at Pinsent Curtis, now known as Pinsent Masons, where he spent 10 years. He previously trained and qualified at similarly prestigious top 20 firm Ashurst.
Alan brings 25 years of experience in all areas of commercial property ownership and dispute management. He advises on landlord and tenant markets acting for investors, owners, property managers, occupiers and in cases of large scale portfolio management.
Alan more recently worked as a partner and head of litigation at a number of firms in and around Leeds, where he is now based. He also serves clients in London.
Alan said: “I am excited to be joining a firm where I can solely do client-facing work without having to lead a team. The client knows I will be doing the work which I think is important to them. The position offers me flexibility to work more efficiently for northern and London-based clients.”
CEO Chris Setford said: “We could not be more delighted that Alan Herbert has joined us as a consultant. His exceptional experience operating at the highest levels of the legal industry are obviously a terrific asset and we look forward to supporting him as he continues to thrive as a consultant lawyer.”
CEO Guy Setford added: “Our litigation team is going from strength to strength and Alan brings yet another layer of expertise. We are extremely pleased that he has chosen to work as a consultant at Setfords.”
