A local charity that supports young people and adults with autism has named Setfords Solicitors’ famous Christmas decoration animals after being selected as the firm’s chosen charity for the festive season.
Clients from the Jigsaw Trust, which is based in Dunsfold Park near Cranleigh in Surrey, visited the firm on Tuesday December 13 where the animals were named and a £1000 contribution from Setfords handed over to managers, with a little help from Santa himself.
Setfords’ Christmas decorations, which include two polar bears and a penguin, have attracted attention every year since being introduced in 2013.
Setfords got in touch with the Jigsaw Trust after hearing young people and adults supported by the charity enjoy being driven by the building every Christmas just to look at the display.
The large polar bear was named Paddington, the small polar bear Tim, the penguin Wallie, the reindeer Snowie and the seal Freeze.
Guy Setford said: “We love the names that have been chosen. Our Christmas decorations have become quite an attraction for local people and after hearing that those from the Jigsaw Trust make a special effort to come and see them every year it made perfect sense for them to take on naming responsibility and for us to make a contribution to the charity.
“It’s been wonderful to meet the team and their clients and hear more about the terrific work the charity is doing to help people with autism.”
Emma Butler from Jigsaw said: “We are very grateful for the kind and generous donation.
The clients loved the lights, music and especially Santa! It was lovely to see how happy they were.”
