Setfords Solicitors are pleased to announce that their Guildford based dispute resolution consultant solicitor, Greg Barnbrook, has obtained his Higher Rights of Audience (Civil). Greg has been awarded the right to represent his clients as an advocate in the higher courts. Together with his existing rights to appear in the County Court and Magistrates Court Greg can now appear as an advocate in the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Greg’s Higher Rights award adds further weight to the advocacy services already provided by Setfords which includes the recent launch of a national agency advocacy service for other law firms and businesses. It will also ensure that clients get the best value for money as Greg will always be able to undertake the advocacy on their case when appropriate, regardless of which Court the claim is in. Following his success Greg has said, “I am extremely pleased to have successfully obtained the Higher Rights of Audience qualification. It is a real benefit for clients to have access to a solicitor with Higher Rights. Whilst I will continue to retain strong links with specialist barristers for certain cases I now have the right to conduct hearings myself, particularly in the High Court, where it will add value to the matter. In certain cases this can be a huge benefit because my knowledge of my client’s case will be extensive having dealt with it from it’s inception.” For more information please contact Kieran Smith, Setfords Solicitors on T: 01483 408 780 or via email on firstname.lastname@example.org
