The man who set off fireworks causing a large pile up of vehicles and a severe road traffic accident last year on the M5 has been bailed. The crash involved 34 vehicles and seven people died.
Geoffrey Counsell set off fireworks near the motorway at Taunton Rugby Club near the M5 last November. The amount of smoke from the display drifted over the motorway obscuring the visibility for motorists and resulted in the pile up. Mr Counsell has been charged with seven counts of manslaughter and is now due to appear at magistrates court in December.
