In January CT Plus won a tender for the running of the Jersey bus system, an account previously held by Connex. However, the Unite Union is arguing that while staff would be moved over from Connex to CT Plus, this has not happened. Under a TUPE Transfer (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) the employment law states that there is need to disclose information such as addresses, pay, terms and conditions, but CT Plus claim to not have been provided with this information.
The disagreement will continue until discussions can be held between CT Plus and Unite, and which time the union may push forward with the industrial ballot action that it has so far been holding back on .
