Businesses are growing – but it’s too slow

This is the thought of a large number of British small and medium businesses following a survey by the British Chambers of Commerce. This will be welcome news to business lawyers across the country who have perhaps seen a slight slow down in the amount of work over the last couple of years.

The survey from the BCC has found that it is export within the manufacturing and service sectors that has seen the majority of activity, which includes a rise in employment figures of 6 percentage points within the service industry.

Despite these small signs of growth the business industry is keen for the government to do more, with the director general John Longworth calling for the creation of a business bank and increased investment in rail, air and energy networks.
