Prior to joining Setfords in August 2011, James worked at one of the leading international litigation firms in the City of London and then moved to Bristol where he was at one of the top-ranked law firms in the UK outside London.
James is a specialist in the following areas:
- real estate finance (including development finance)
- property development
- the legal management of large property portfolios
- complex, bespoke leases for tenants
- the sale and acquisition of property-based companies (for example, hotels, petrol stations, retail chains).
James has extensive international experience and has worked for some of the most prestigious clients in the UK, including the Crown Estate, National Grid Property Holdings and the senior legal panel of national financial institutions.
James provides a thorough but simple and transparent service to all his clients. James is known for his efficient service and ability to meet demanding deadlines.
James is fluent in German and divides his time between our offices in London and Vienna, Austria.
